Early Learning Screening - The Grundy County Early Learning Screening Team which serves all school districts in Grundy County shall be conducting Early Learning Screenings for 3,4 and 5 year olds. The instrument, DIAL 3, has been developed by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and is designed for surveying gross motor, fine motor, concept formation and communication skills. The purpose of the screenings is to identify problems early so that intervention and remediation of any problems will help the child adjust to the educational system. Delays in speech and language, academics, behavioral and social adjustments are typical problems that need remediation.
